Hungarian gas could be shipped to western Europe

Gas from the Mako Trough in Hungary may be shipped to Serbia and Austria as fears mount in the European Union about the possibility of losing Russian-supplied gas. ExxonMobil, Mol and Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. -- partners in Mako -- are working on technology to export the gas to western Europe. OAO Gazprom recently cut supplies to the Ukraine in a pricing dispute, creating fears among other nations over the security of their gas supplies as demand is increasing.
