DENVER, Dec. 21 /CNW/ -- Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV: FO) ("Falcon" or the "Company"), a global energy company focused on acquiring, exploring and developing large acreage positions of unconventional and conventional oil and gas resources, today announced that Professor Ferenc ("Frank") Horvath and Stephen Schultz have resigned from the Board of Directors of Falcon, effective immediately. Both Professor Horvath and Mr. Schultz will not stand for re-election at the upcoming annual and special meeting of the shareholders to be held on December 22, 2009.
Commenting on the moves, Dr. Gyorgy Szabo, Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd.'s Chairman of the Board of Directors stated, "Frank and Steve's contributions were considerable during their tenure on our board and the company was well served by their counsel and advice. We thank them both for their efforts. Steve will now join the Falcon management team as our head of corporate communications. He has solid experience in this arena, particularly as an investor relations executive, and his new role will keep him actively involved with the Company. Falcon can now look to identify alternative candidates who will bring added experience and perspective to the Board of Directors."
